My formal training includes study at the Maryland Institute College of Art, the Art Students League of New York and The American University of Rome, followed by post-graduate work in art and design education at Pratt Institute. Alongside teaching, I maintain an active studio practice and exhibit my work professionally, bringing real-world artistic experience into the classroom.
I previously chaired the Fine Arts Department at Manhattan East School for Arts and Academics in NYC and served for many years on the faculty of the Lycée Français de New York. I currently teach at The Potomac School, where I work with intermediate school students across drawing, painting, sculpture, and interdisciplinary art experiences.

Art Teaching
Teach foundational studio courses in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and photography, with an emphasis on observation, technique, and visual literacy. Guide students through a structured progression of skills while encouraging careful revision, responsible studio practice, and thoughtful engagement with materials.
Senior art and design instructor in the secondary program, with additional teaching responsibilities in the advanced art option, cinema and photography programs, project- based learning initiatives, technology integration, advisory program and yearbook.
Responsible for preparing secondary art students for the competitive French Baccalaureate and portfolio review each spring. Senior portfolios have been accepted at elite art colleges including the Cooper Union, RISD, Yale, the Pratt Institute, MICA, Chicago Institute, CalArts and les Écoles des Beaux-Arts in France
Taught fine art classes to both general and special needs populations. Led Manhattan East's arts department aligning music, fine art, dance and elective programming to school mission. Served as Region 9's arts coordinator.
